Bristol · letterpress and foil, one press
The press runs before the price is quoted.
Suites set by hand and printed one ink at a time, priced by how many households you are sending to. The film below is the press working, because that is the part a photograph of finished paper cannot show.
The press
Two minutes, no music: the forme locked up, the sheet fed, the impression under the platen, the stack turned.

Filmed at the press, across one afternoon.
The bands
The band sets the print run, and the run sets what is worth plating — so the count is the first thing to decide, not the last.
The Cotton Suite
Invitation, reply card and details card in 600 gsm cotton rag, one ink, blind-debossed monogram.
The Cotton Suite
The same three pieces, with lined envelopes and a printed return address on the reply card.
The Cotton Suite
Three pieces plus a save-the-date, plated once and printed in one run so every card matches.
The Cotton Suite
The full suite with save-the-date and menu, split across two press runs and collated in-house.

Couples and planners
“The second proof came back with the spacing on the date fixed before I had spotted it. Everything was printed and boxed three days early.”
“I send every couple here now. The wording deadline is on the quote, so nobody is chasing a name three days before the press date.”
“We asked for one more proof round on the envelope liner and they repriced it in a line rather than a paragraph.”
The practical questions
Three rounds are included: the first sets the layout, the second takes your wording and the third is the one you sign off. A round is a full set of cards, not a single change — small corrections inside a round are free, and a fourth round is quoted before it starts.
The commission
The date of the day, how many households, which pieces, and when the wording will be final. The wording deadline is the one that decides the press date, so it is asked for first.
